Sendoff Scheduled Tuesday For App State Football Team

The Appalachian State University Football team departs Tuesday, December 11th, for New Orleans, Louisiana, to participate in the 2018 R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

The Jones House, the Downtown Boone Development Association, the Boone Police Department, and the
Boone Area Chamber of Commerce would like to invite everyone to a community send-off for the team
Tuesday, December 11th at 11:30 am in downtown Boone.

Fans, downtown merchants, and customers can wear their Black & Gold, bring flags, and display signs along King Street. The convoy of buses will depart Kidd Brewer Stadium at 11:30 a.m., turn left on Rivers Street, and progress to King Street on their way out of town.

Appalachian State will face Middle Tennessee State University on December 15th in the 2018 R&L Carriers
New Orleans Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kickoff is at 9:00 p.m., and the game will be televised on ESPN.
