Position Summary Information

  • Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major
    coursework in sports management, business administration, or a related
    field. Degrees in other fields will be considered if the candidate has
    relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with progressively increasing
    responsibility in a collegiate athletic athletics department.
  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations with a personal
    commitment to operate within those rules is required.
  • Experience working with an athletics department and sports marketing
    departments.
  • Customer service and management experience.
  • Must be available to cover full athletics event schedules, which may
    include managing the marketing staff, working consecutive nights and
    weekends and during tournaments, and traveling to away events as
    necessary.

 

Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree

  • 5+ years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility in a
    collegiate athletic athletics department.
  • Experience leading a marketing staff
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle many tasks at once
  • Experience producing a detailed run of show at large events
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
    interact comfortably and effectively with both internal and external clients
    at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and to have leadership skills
  • Experience with the Paciolan ticketing system
