2020 Business After Hours Applications Available

Host a Business After Hours networking event in 2020

The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce has opened the application window for the 2020 schedule of Business After Hours.

This series of monthly networking events are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 5-7 pm. Events are designed to offer the perfect opportunity for casual networking with colleagues and members of the business community. Attendees enjoy complimentary appetizers along with beer and wine, provided by some of the area’s most popular restaurants and catering professionals.

Applications can be submitted by printing this form and emailing or faxing to wysteria@boonechamber.com or an online application can be submitted at this link.

Applications will be accepted through October 31st at 4:30 pm.

Once all applications are gathered, the Chamber staff will work with selected businesses to create a 12-event schedule. Businesses are able to partner in hosting a Business After Hours, provided that one of the selected venues meets the event space and parking criteria. Applicants are not guaranteed an opportunity to host a Business After Hours. 

The full 2020 Business After Hours schedule will be released in late November 2019.

Business After Hours Hosting Criteria

• The host facility must have adequate parking and provide food and beverage for an average of 75-100 attendees. Non-alcoholic beverages, beer, and wine are recommended.

• All suppliers (food, beverage, and decoration) must be Boone Area Chamber of Commerce members. Contact the Chamber for an updated list and suggestions.

• A $150 non-refundable deposit is required and due upon securing the event date. These funds will be used for targeted advertising for your event.

• Selected hosts must be Boone Area Chamber of Commerce members in good financial standing.

The Chamber Provides Hosts

• Pre-event publicity in Chamber digital publications boosted social media posts and website event listings.

• Chamber staff to handle guest registration.

• All business cards from door prize drawing for your use after the event.
