Watauga Education Foundation

The Watauga Education Foundation (WEF) was established to improve the quality of public school education in Watauga County. The focus of WEF is to raise funds toward a grants program for teachers' innovative and creative projects to enrich the classroom learning experiences of their students. Monies raised from area donors are distributed to teachers who otherwise would have to pay out of their own personal funds for their projects as there are no federal state or local budgets available for this purpose. WEF is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization licensed by the State of NC as an organization approved for seeking private and municipal gift support.
