4th Annual High Country Economic Kickoff Breakfast
Dr. Harry Davis set to deliver his Annual Economic Forecast
The 4th Annual High Country Economic Kickoff Breakfast is scheduled for Thursday, January 16th from 7:30-9:00am, at the Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock.
The event is co-hosted by the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce and is presented by Peak Insurance Group, with additional support from 4 Forty Four and Allen CPA PLLC.
Longtime Appalachian State Walker College of Business faculty member, Dr. Harry Davis, will deliver his 2020 economic forecast. Dr. Davis serves as both Dean and instructor for the North Carolina School of Banking. He is an instructor for the Director’s College sponsored by the North Carolina Commissioner of Banks and the FDIC. Dr. Davis is also an instructor for the North Carolina Insurance Executive Management School and the South Carolina School of Banking.
Brad Moretz, President of Appalachian Ski Mountain, will provide remarks on the growth the winter tourism economy and its impact the region's overall financial landscape. Moretz is a graduate of the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He serves as President of Appalachian Ski Mountain, the High Country's longest-running ski resort, and a business his family has owned and operated since 1968.
The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce will also present its 2019 Watauga County Business-of-the-Year awards during the program.
Doors open at 7:15am and the event will end promptly at 9am.
