Dr. Mark Poarch

Leads all operations of a multi-campus college including: business/finance operations; foundation, strategic planning, administration, instructional programming, student services, information technology, construction/facility operations, instructional support, institutional effectiveness, and grant activities
Serve as advisor to the Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute Board of Trustees, Caldwell and Watauga County Board of Commissioners / Economic Development Boards, North Carolina Community College System State Board and Staff, North Carolina Association of Community College Trustees, and North Carolina Association of Community College Presidents
Oversee the development and management of the college’s $39 million budget
Collaborate with community, business, and industry leaders to promote economic development and provide direction for programs associated with the creation of employment opportunities
Work with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, North Carolina Community College System Office, and other external accrediting agencies to assure program quality
Serve on a variety of boards and committees to assure community involvement for the well-being of the students, faculty, staff, and all community college stakeholders
