A Public Transportation Authority Serving Boone, Watauga Country, and Appalachian State University. AppalCART Provides Fixed Route Bus Service in the Boone Area, and Demand Response Van Service Throughout the County Under Contract with Human Service Agencies. AppalCART has offered fare free bus service since July 1, 2005.
