Job Title: Sous Chef

Brief Job Description

Exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a great team. Hound Ears Club is currently looking to hire a Sous Chef. The ideal candidate needs to have 5+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen (preferably 3 in a country club setting) and be highly proficient working in all areas of the kitchen. Candidate must be level-headed, team oriented, professional and can take the reins and lead and problem solve when the Executive Chef is not present. The Sous Chef will be directly involved with the Executive Chef with menu design & execution for three venues, member satisfaction, execution of daily specials, banquets, ala carte dining, recipe development, food quality control, plate presentation, overseeing food preparation & handling, and checking in orders. The Sous Chef must be able to stand for several hours, lift 25-50 lbs., be versatile, and most importantly, be an understanding human and teacher. This position is a salaried, benefited year-round position.

Food and Beverage operations at Hound Ears Club are open 7 days per week, May through October, 5 days per week for individually planned events November - April, with a busy banquet and Member golf event schedule. During the off-season Hound Ears Club hosts member events aligned with major sporting events and social gatherings. Outlets include the Main Club House Dining (lower level, upper terrace fir-side and banquet venue), Golf Couse Tee House, Pool Snack Bar, busy to-go ordering, and banquets and events.
