As an effort to recognize emerging leaders in the High Country business community, the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce announces the creation of the 4 Under 40 awards. Winners will be honored at the inaugural 4 Under 40 awards luncheon, Wednesday May 17th, from 11:00am-1pm at the Holmes Convocation Center on the campus of Appalachian State University.

Nomination forms are available through the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce. Awards will be distributed to honorees in the following categories: Business Owner, Rising Star, Non-Profit, and Education. Nominees must be 39 years-old or younger and should exhibit professional success while a member of the Boone area community.

“Our area’s rich business history can be traced to some very creative and successful minds,” said Boone Area Chamber of Commerce President/CEO David Jackson. ”We are excited to honor the next generation of business leaders in our community. Our area is full of stories to tell about people who have courageously started and maintained their own successful business, identify as an up-and-comer in an existing company, provide services and skills to one of our area non-profit businesses, or have dedicated their lives to furthering the education of others. Hopefully this event can serve as a proper introduction to those that will be leading Boone and our area communities for decades to come.”

Nomination Forms (click link here) can be emailed to david@boonechamber.com or dropped off at the chamber office at 870 W. King St, Suite A. All nominations must be received by May 1, at 4:30 pm.
