Two nights of great local food, drink, and entertainment highlight the return of High Country Toast, June 15-16. The festival is co-hosted by the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and Boone Sunrise Rotary and is presented by Mast General Store.
Friday, June 15th, the festivities begin at Valle Crucis Community Park, where patrons will enjoy the culinary treats from several local food trucks in addition to tastings of local craft beers. The family friendly event coincides with Music in the Valle, with featured performer Zoe & Cloyd taking the stage for the evening. Boone Photo Booth will be on hand to help capture the evening as attendees enjoy one of the area’s top family recreation destinations.
Saturday, June 16th, the events shift to Appalachian Ski Mountain, where some of the area’s top chefs offer delicious, high-end hors d’oeuvres and other culinary treats. A sampling of local and regional wines highlight the tasting menu and live music helps to round out the atmosphere of this special evening. Attendees can take a scenic lift ride to the top of Upper Big Appal for a commemorative picture from Boone Photo Booth, complete with a long-range mountain view and the evening sun as the backdrop.
A percentage of the proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Valle Crucis Community Park and the Back to School Festival.
