Chamber Lunch & Learn Series To Focus On Downtown Boone Development

Downtown Boone serves as one of the hot beds for business in the Boone community.

With the Appalachian Theatre restoration project moving forward, the Watauga County Veterans Memorial construction set to begin, and The Horton Hotel a few months from opening, the district will soon benefit from the traffic generated from these new features in the business landscape.

Over the last several months, the Town of Boone has been working closely with the UNC School of Governement’s Development Finance Initiative (DFI) to create a market analysis that can be used to help steer conversation regarding future development opportunities in the district. DFI has interviewed residents, consumers, and business owners about their experience in the Downtown Area. The group also hosted several public listening sessions to help gauge interest into what types of businesses and services are desired in the area.

The Town of Boone presents the next installment of the Chamber Lunch & Learn series, Thursday, March 8th from 11:30am-1pm at the Hampton Inn & Suites, where Andrew Trump of DFI will present a market analysis as it relates to Downtown development. The group also seeks continued feedback from business stakeholders as part of this process.

Seating is limited, so click on this link to register or call the Chamber at 828-264-2225. Cost is $10 for Chamber members and includes lunch.

The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce Lunch & Learn series is made possible with support from First Citizens Bank, Nordic PC, and the Town of Boone.
