The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the formation of the Insight Night series, which will bring area business leaders together with active and retired CEOs, in a relaxed setting, to discuss career development opportunities.

Four sessions will be held over the summer, matching current or aspiring top-level local leaders with established leaders of businesses in areas such as finance and investments, insurance, restaurant/retail chain management, healthcare, event/venue management, and technology industries. Each session will include a panel of two CEOs who will provide their career origin stories, experiences, and advice to those seeking higher professional aspirations. There will be opportunity for Q&A with the panelists as well as networking within the group of local professionals.

“So much knowledge can be gained personally and professionally by learning from the experiences of others,” said Boone Area Chamber of Commerce President/CEO David Jackson. “Thanks to our location among numerous resort communities, there are quality leaders who can share amazing experiences with our local leaders. We hope this type of interaction can serve as career affirmation for some while motivating others who may be looking to take the next step forward in their own career path.”

The Insight Night series is the latest addition to the chamber’s Watauga Leadership Challenge brand, a community leadership development initiative with programs designed to spark career growth in a wide variety of fields and experience levels.

The Insight Night series will be held at the Creekside Electronics showroom in Foscoe from 5:30 to 8pm on May 31st, June 28th, July 26th, and August 23rd. Each event will include heavy hors d’oeuvres and snacks along with select craft beer from local breweries. Cost is $250 per registrant, which covers the entire series. You can register by clicking on this link, or by contacting the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce at 828-264-2225.

A full list of panelists and bios will be released in the coming weeks. Registration will be handled on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be limited to 25 total participants.
