Plan of Action

  • Vision:
    • To promote the benefits of the Chamber membership throughout the business and professional community.
    • Provide current, relevant information and resources which encourages Chamber membership and fosters member retention.
  • Mission:
    • To develop and implement a comprehensive ongoing membership program with the goal of building awareness, educating, motivating for the purpose of recruiting and retaining members.
  • Activities:
    • Sponsor New Member events to acquaint new members with the Chamber board, staff and chamber programs
      • New member breakfast – quarterly
    • Promote Business After Hours to provide opportunities for member-to-member networking.
      • Ten months/1 cooperative with other chambers / Applications in October
    • Promote the Program Partners and function sponsors.
      • Prepayment for all Chamber events / marketing and promotion opportunity
      • $1,300 cost
    • Investigate and endorse affinity program sponsorhsip benefical to members.
      • Workers Comp insurance / Profile Display / Boone: My Hometown Magazine
    • Secure participants for the Member-to-Member Discount Program.
      • Participants listed on website
      • Post HOT DEALS on the website
    • To communicate new-member welcome and renewal-member encouragement.
      • Each one-get-one
      • Focus on membership drops for 2013 to present
      • New members listed on website and on social media
    • To review member benefits and resources.
      • Benefits are listed on websites/packets
    • To work with staff and volunteers in the annual Membership Drive
