After successfully honoring four emerging business leaders a year ago, the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce announces nominations are open for the second-annual 4 Under 40 awards, presented by Appalachian Commercial Real Estate.

Winners will be honored at the 4 Under 40 Awards Luncheon, Wednesday April 18thfrom 11:30 am -1 pm at Harvest House in Boone.

Awards will be distributed to honorees in the following categories: Business Owner, Rising Star, Non-Profit, and Education. Nominees must be 39 years-old or younger and should exhibit professional success while a member of the Boone area community.

“Last year we were excited to honor four individuals who are making positive impacts on our community each and every day,” said David Jackson, President/CEO of the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce. “We know our area is fortunate to be fueled by amazing talent in our local workforce. Events like this can help identify those that will lead the High Country toward its next set of milestones. We also hope this serves as a way to further connect the emerging leaders of our community with those who have worked for decades to make the Boone area what it is today.”

Nominations can be submitted online using this link. You can print and complete the 2018 4 Under 40 Nomination Form and email to or drop off at the Chamber office at 870 W. King St, Suite A. All nominations must be received by April 5th, at 4:30 pm.

Tickets for the event are set to go on sale March 1st.
